Hey everyone!
My name is Olivia and this is my second semester with CollegeFashionista. I attend Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and am a second year Fashion Design major. I absolutely love what I do. Every single day is enjoyable for me. You know what they always say, “love what you do and you will never have to work a day in your life!”
I’ve always been an extremely confident person and very comfortable in my own skin. I think it is so important for young women in college and in the twenty-first century to be confident, strong and powerful. We have surpassed so many societal stereotypes through the decades and centuries and it is important for us to remain headstrong so that we can continue to make strides for our future generation of women.
My personal style exudes confidence and power. Here, I’m wearing an olive green T-shirt, which is a really good color to bring out blue eyes. I have on my favorite black jeans from Express. My fur vest is a huge statement piece and basically says “Hello! I’m here!” when I walk into a room. My tan heeled booties are extremely comfortable for everyday wear. I also love a good statement earring and red lipstick. They are two elements that can add a sense of confidence and strength to any outfit.
Ladies, it is so important to be confident. Being a girl is hard, and we have to show that we are tough and can deal with anything that life throws at us. Flaunt what you have, walk confidently and most importantly: SMILE!
