Hello there lovely Fashionistas! My name is Paige Phillips and I’m 20 years old. Just like many of you, a new school year means new adventures and aspirations, which is why I wanted to go outside of my comfort zone and join a fashion obsessed fam.
I’m currently studying public relations and apparel merchandising at Iowa State University. College has completely inspired me to go after my personal interests, which has lead me to this beautiful and unique industry. Right now, I’m getting the chance to intern with one of my favorite local boutiques, Matilda Muse. Working with clothes is my passion and I’m loving every minute of it. Besides doing the whole school thing, an average day for me is doing homework at cozy cafes with a coffee in hand or hanging with the people who make me the happiest.
My style tends to be more west coast inspired with vintage details from the ’70s. Anything with denim is also a personal favorite – mom jeans, distressed cut-offs and denim jackets are my current obsessions. My daily outfits range from simple and laid back to a dressier but casual look. My wardrobe is full of versatile pieces that can complete any look I’m feeling that day.
For this look, I combined some of my favorites into one outfit. I’m wearing a rustic orange suede skirt from Forever 21 with a lighter orange floral halter-top from Pacsun. I love mixing shades of colors with different details. I paired by outfit with a blue denim jacket to add color from the other side of the spectrum.
To continue with my ’70s look I wore my brown thick heels for some leg length. I added my favorite crotchet bag with fringe from Brandy Melville.
