Hi everyone! My name is Paulina Marie and I am from Los Angeles, California. I currently attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising for merchandise marketing and I am in my junior year. I have always been obsessed with fashion since I was a little girl. Anything with fur, glitter or leopard print I was immediately drawn to. This is my first time as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I am really excited to expand my knowledge of the fashion industry and make connections with other style gurus like myself!
One of the hardest things for me is to describe my style. I like many different styles from edgy, sophisticated, bohemian, to athleisure. I dress depending on where I am going, the weather and most importantly, my mood. Some days I feel like wearing a big hat, a dress and some heels. Other days you’ll catch me in Nike’s, ripped jeans, and hat. No matter which way I am feeling, I always like to look effortless and chic. The best part about fashion to me has always been using my creativity to create looks and always playing dress up no matter what age I was turning.
For this look, I chose to dress a little more edgy while keeping in mind it was sixty degrees outside, which is freezing for LA! I used a simple black V-neck long sleeve and paired it with a black fur vest that has tweed below the black fur. The vest I am wearing in the photo is originally from a cool Danish store on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood called NuDenmark. I wanted to be a little more edgy so instead of wearing jeans, I chose to wear black leather leggings with zipper details on the knee and shins of the pants. I wore black leather booties with a gold buckle detail on the outside. I wore a black satin choker that I tied around my neck. I moved the bow to the back of my neck so it would take the outfit from girly to rock n’ roll.
I felt like a real girl boss in this outfit! Hope everyone likes this look as much as I do and I cannot wait to see all the other Style Guru’s outfits!
