Hello fellow Fashionistas! My name is Peyton Meade and I am a sophomore at Illinois State University where I am majoring in fashion merchandising with a minor in business. When I’m not shopping (which is rare), you can find me watching The Bachelor religiously, going on Chipotle runs with my best friends and working my butt off at The Limited in my local mall.
I have always had a passion for fashion. I will honestly admit that I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with Pinterest. I am constantly searching for new ways to create unique outfits and express myself through clothing. Ever since I was little, I have always had a Michael Kors taste with a Bergner’s budget, but I somehow still find ways to obtain some of the finer things.
When it comes to my fashion taste, I don’t think that there is one specific style that can define my wardrobe. One day you could find me rocking a V-neck T-shirt, ripped jeans and Converse. Other days, I find myself sporting a floral romper, platform heels and bright pink lipstick. I am a firm believer that anyone can and should wear whatever they want as long as it makes them feel confident and beautiful.
Although I am only a sophomore this year, I love being a fashion major and I feel that my style has developed tremendously in the short time that I’ve been in this program. I have big dreams of working in the fashion industry and I have learned you have to make connections and look damn good to get there. I am so incredibly honored and excited to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this fall. I look forward to furthering my knowledge in fashion during this internship and giving my readers a look at what fashion means to me.
