Hey everyone! I’m Rachael Guida. I’ll be one of your Style Gurus this semester giving advice about the dos and don’ts, the ins and outs, and everything in between. A little about myself: I attend the Fashion Institute of Technology, and I am majoring in advertising marketing and communications. I am from Long Island, New York, and I attended St. Dominic High School. I aspire to one day have my own brand of lingerie for larger busted girls. For most of my life, I have struggled with problems of my own in that particular area. I would describe my style as “whatever”, I wear what I feel good in. I spend more time caring about dressing for my body and what I feel confident in, than dressing for the brands that everyone “should” be wearing. I believe it is much more important to have confidence than to pay for overpriced items just because other people deemed them trendy and that is a concept that is often lost or ignored. Don’t get me wrong, I am not cheap, I fully believe most items are sold for their worth. I just also believe that I could get a white t-shirt and cut holes in it too, Kanye West (no disrespect). My motto is: if you like it you buy it. Tom Haverford’s mantra, “treat yo’ self” is something I like to live by. I am so excited to be a Style Guru for this coming semester and cannot wait to share my looks with the Fashionistas/os of the world!
