Hola! 안녕하세요! Bonjour! Hello to all lovers of fashion! My name is Rachel Cason and I’m a Communication major going into my junior year at George Mason University. I live in Washington D.C. which is an area rich in history and culture, and where there is history and culture, there is usually great fashion. Considering I have a deep love for culture, it is no wonder I also have a deep love for fashion. My dream is to work in fashion and be able to travel the world.
For as long as I can remember, I have been in love with fashion and all that it can do. I have always thought that fashion and lifestyle coincide. Whether it is dinner with friends, a night on the town or simply relaxing by the water, your style says something about how you live.
I get a lot of my style inspiration from icons like Eleanor Calder and Miranda Kerr. I thought for a long time about how to define my own personal style. Not only has my style changed a lot over the years, but I also do not stick to one particular style. Sometimes I would define my style as casual or sporty, and other times I would say it is chic and sophisticated. Sometimes I like to wear prints and other times I like to dress simply. The best way I can define my style is casual chic.
This outfit is the perfect example of my style. A simple, structured black top is elegant and casual paired with high-waisted shorts. These nude heels make the outfit a bit more sophisticated compared to the shorts. Overall the outfit is simple, but the watch and bracelet paired with the phone case give a luxurious vibe. The Liz Claiborne handbag is my latest fashion purchase and I absolutely adore it.
I hope over the course of this semester I can get a more in—depth look at fashion trends and on—campus style. I look forward to a wonderful fashion—filled semester with you all! xoxo
