Hey all my Fashionista friends! My name is Rachel, and this is my first semester as a Style Guru with CollegeFashionista. I am more than excited for this opportunity to get to know all you Fashionistas and show you what I know! I am currently a sophomore at Ohio University studying retail merchandising and fashion product development with minors in business and marketing.
If there is ever an upcoming event or just a night out with the girls, I am the one with the style advice. I absolutely love creating pieces and helping others pick out or combine a great look for whatever they are up to that day. My love for styling comes along with my love for shopping. Shopping as a full-time college student can be rough, but I am definitely a bargain buyer and can find my looks at great costs with just a little help from the internet. Online shopping is an endless opportunity and can build inspiration!
I am basically a modern day hippie with my bohemian style. I love a gorgeous pattern on a comfortable T-shirt or dress and some boots and accessories. My blonde curls give me the advantage to do many different styles with my hair as well. One trend I am obsessing over right now is bell sleeves and of course flared jeans. These are very flattering and of course super fun! Although I have a mostly laid back style, never doubt my abilities to be able to rock some pumps and a leather jacket. Having a variety of styles really lets you have completely open opportunities and lets you have fun mixing and matching those styles.
Today I picked out a rusty oversized sweater with black accessories. I have a thick velvet choker on with my absolute favorite hat! This hat goes with everything and really adds some style and flare. I put it all together with some black chunky booties. This look was easy to put together for an everyday look.
