Hello again! I’m Rachel Park, a junior from the University of California, San Diego studying communication and business with a deep passion for photography, fashion, and now…videography! I’ve been a Style Guru for a couple years now and I have to say that CollegeFashionista has truly made a positive impact on my life. From taking inspiration from other Fashionista/os, to gaining confidence in approaching students and taking their photos. I have definitely increased my passion for this site and give much thanks those who sacrifice a lot of their time in making this community grow.
Here’s a little more about my life. I am a blogger/vlogger/photographer. I get a lot of my inspiration from women like Margaret Zhang and Aimee Song, who have captivated tons of people on the Internet, and have used their influence for great causes in addition to their jobs both online and offline. I also just came back from a semester abroad in the beautiful city of Rome, Italy. This country really has stolen a piece of my heart. The style, the culture and of course the food were all amazing and I am so blessed to have had the opportunity (I even maintained my internship as Style Guru while in Italy)!
Born and raised in Southern California, I was never too fond of cold weather. But I got the opportunity to dress in layers (and tons of layers I might add) in the bitter cold fall season of Europe. In this post, I am wearing my favorite purchases abroad: a perfectly fitted suede jacket and a black beret. To keep warm, I layered a denim button-up under windbreaker and wore a scarf with similar colors. I streamlined the look with dark jeans and my trusty Dr. Martens. Adding in a pair of sunglasses, warm gloves and a thrifted purse, my look was complete. What do you think? Did I do well for a SoCal native?
Keep tuned for more posts from yours truly and be sure to check out my newly made YouTube account or Instagram in the meantime!
