Hello! My name is Rebecca Rodgers and I am so excited to be a Style Guru this summer. I have always set out to be a Fashionista and now, I officially am.
Two years ago, I made the best decision to attend Florida State University mostly because I get to study fashion. In high school, I always took too long getting ready for school (still do) and my parents would constantly say, “It’s just school, not a fashion show,” but not anymore! I am majoring in retail merchandising and product development and just recently, I chose to get a minor in business. This past year, I began blogging for the Collegiate Merchandising Association, and started assisting as a social media coordinator for them as well. It’s hard to believe that in just a couple of months I will be starting my junior year, but that means I am one step closer to pursuing my dream of moving to New York City and working for a major fashion magazine.
I consider my personal style to be boho feminine and I tend to stick to neutral colors. Comfort is key and if something is not comfortable, I most likely will not wear it. This is probably why you can catch me in sneakers or flats most of the time. Midi rings are a must-have, and I don’t think you can ever have on too much dainty jewelry. Staple pieces like a great jacket are a necessity in my wardrobe as well. I never leave the house without my winged eyeliner and I am known for always finding the best sales. Fashion in the life of a college student is ever-changing and I can’t wait to report on the latest trends.
