Hello again! My name is Rebecca Rodgers and this is my second semester styling and guruing for CollegeFashionista. This #RAD internship has allowed me to live out my dream of being a fashion blogger and I am so happy that I get to follow that dream again this fall!
I am a Tampa native currently living in Tallahassee as I start my junior year at Florida State University. I have been studying retail merchandising and product development with a minor in business and I love it! In addition to being a Style Guru this fall, I am also going to be writing for Her Campus FSU and assisting in social media for Florida State’s largest fashion club, the Collegiate Merchandising Association.
When I’m not napping, you can most likely find me bargain shopping or stalking street style trendsetters on Instagram and Pinterest. My newest obsession is listening to podcasts and my favorites would have to be Office Hours with CollegeFashionista (duh!) and Girlboss Radio with Sophia Amoruso. What are some things I cannot live without? Concerts, skinny soy caramel macchiatos and winged eyeliner, of course.
My personal style can sometimes be tricky to explain. I like a little bit of everything and my taste ranges from boho chic to soft grunge and especially now to athleisure since school is back in session. I like to make statements in my outfits and try to incorporate more feminine looking pieces into my everyday looks as well. Comfort is a necessity for me and it is something I strive for daily when picking out my outfits.
If I ever am feeling like taking a fashion risk, I always reach for fun pants. Featured above are a fab pair of cropped flowing trousers. Shoutout to Zara for never letting me down! When I saw these I knew I had to have them and if you’re short like I am, these are a must-have because you’ll never have to worry about getting the bottoms hemmed.
I am still completely on board with the choker trend and have been buying them in bulk. I think they are the perfect outfit completer and anything satin and blush pink has my name written all over it. I was feeling a little edgy and decided to throw on my latest go-to accessory: a pair of faux pearl ear jackets. They are probably the most unique piece of jewelry I own.
I am so excited for fall fashion and I cannot wait to see what will be trending this season. It’s a good thing I have so many Fashionistas to turn to for some autumn inspiration.
