Hi there again, Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Rebecca Spillmann and I am returning to CollegeFashionista for my internship for the summer! I am very excited to be able to feature looks for my favorite season, summer! Nothing makes me happier than summer fashion, sunshine and to be sharing that all with you.
As I am entering this summer, I am going through a big transitional period. This past spring semester was my last time at my former school, SUNY Oneonta, as I am going through with a 3+1 program with the Fashion Institute of Technology this fall. Although I was sad to be leaving my beloved school of three years, I am happy to have a new start and to be really focused in starting my future!
My transitional period has just begun as I am working in the city, so, I am able to get used to my big change. Every day I am in the city, I get more and more excited about being able to live there full time in a few short months. As I spend half my week in the city each week, I am able to fully embrace the city lifestyle as well as the fashion. Because, let’s face it, nothing’s better than having New York City street style for post inspiration! I also will be spending the rest of my week on Long Island, New York. Here I will be hitting the beach, walking around town and maybe going off to the Hamptons.
In this look I captured the classic, casual summer vibe for a weekend look. I wore a lightweight white blouse and light blue wash moto jeans. For accessories I wore a gold necklace, a black and gold wrap watch and black criss-cross sandals. To top it off, I wore black half-frame sunglasses and a black floppy hat. With this look I am able to enjoy my summer weekend strolling the beach and boardwalk.
Please continue to follow me with my internship and keep up to date on the #RAD summer looks featured!
