Hello, fellow Fashionistas! My name is Rhianna Maglio and I am a senior at Penn State University, majoring in Marketing and minoring in International Business. This is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I am absolutely ecstatic about this opportunity. I think this internship will be a great way to combine my love of writing with my love of photography. I hope to show everyone my creative style, and easy ways to achieve it!
I feel that my study abroad experience in Seville, Spain, definitely opened my eyes to global fashions. I love the way patterns and colors are mixed and matched to create a unique style. I did A LOT of shopping abroad, so my wardrobe has expanded and I have even more room to play with my daily outfits. The main shopping street in Seville was home to some of my favorite stores, including Zara, Bershka and Stradivarius.
After being abroad for four months, I’m excited to be back in State College and finish my last year of school! Going to school in central Pennsylvania means that I get to experience just about every season. With that being said, I have certain staple pieces of clothing for each climate. At the beginning of the fall semester, I usually stick to fun, light and breathable pieces of clothing to balance out the heat. When it becomes chilly, my absolute favorite accessory is a scarf! All of my friends know my love for scarves. When the frozen tundra settles over Happy Valley, I always go out in my black parka (my favorite being from The North Face).
In my bio photo, I’m wearing one of my favorite shirts. I bought this elephant shirt while I was in Spain, and I was instantly drawn to the bright colors and playful pattern. I can dress it up, but mostly just wear it class or to hang out with my friends. Keep a lookout for my upcoming posts for CollegeFashionista throughout the semester!
