Hi Fashionistas, I am back! I’m thrilled to be back with CollegeFashionista for another semester of writing, fashion, and fun. My experience writing as a CollegeFashionista Style Guru has been such a great one. Not only did I get to write about something I love, fashion of course, I also learned more about style and current trends. Plus the photography aspect has helped me grow my visual talents. So I am back for the spring to find some great fashion inspiration!
I attend the University of South Carolina located in the capital city of Columbia, which is a great small city with a huge school spirit. It is not hard to find very stylish college students all around campus. My personal style has advanced through the years. My sense of fashion has been molded from the experiences I have had in my life. I love to travel, I grew up near Washington D.C., I studied in Spain, and I am currently finishing my bachelor’s degree in visual communications. I love to create, it is one of my passions, and my degree with an emphasis on graphic design has helped me develop my creative skills. Working as a Style Guru has expanded my writing, photography abilities, and my personal fashion sense. I would love to use my degree and CollegeFashionista work to pursue a career in fashion and graphic design someday.
The outfit that I am wearing is a snappy casual look to wear during the day, have lunch with friends, or out for the night. This outfit is awesome for cold weather because of the warm Calvin Klein parka I am sporting. It keeps me toasty all winter, not to mention it is super cute. I paired it with medium wash jeans and a trendy sweater with a V cut-out. To pull the whole ensemble together I wore some great all-weather platform Sorel boots with a short heel and a playful beanie that I bought in Dublin, Ireland. I cannot wait to see what this semester brings in the world of fashion. Here’s to discovering your inner chic!
