Hello my fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos! If you could not tell by the title, my name is Sahana Holla and I am so excited to be entering my fifth semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I have been blessed with so many opportunities to do exciting things with this company, and I cannot wait to see what this fall semester has in store!
So, a little bit about me first. I am from the good old Bay Area in California, but I currently live in New York where I attend Fordham University. As a Gabelli School of Business student, I am entering my third year studying applied accounting and finance (I know, it does not sound all that fun, right?). On campus, I am part of Fordham’s all-female A Capella group named the Fordham Satin Dolls. This group is literally one of the best things that has ever happened to me, and I am so grateful to be able to share the stage with such amazing women that truly inspire me every day.
As I mentioned earlier, I am honored to have been a part of CollegeFashionista and participate in some of their collaborations and segments. A couple highlights from this summer include being one of the 25 Style Gurus chosen to go to Victoria’s Secret’s first ever Camp PINK and being chosen to be one of the OG #CFLive members. This summer has truly been one for the books.
As for my style update, I have been super into the casual look. Being comfortable for me is key, so lately I have been rocking a lot of funky jewelry with some basic pieces and my adidas Stan Smiths sneakers that have literally not left my feet. I have also been into wearing smaller backpacks in place of purses and have been rocking the old, but gold, french braids. With the humidity I am facing here in New York, there is no way that letting my hair down would NOT result in an afro.
I have spent all summer in the Big Apple and have gotten to experience a decent amount of what this amazing city has to offer. There is nothing I enjoy more than taking my camera out for a stroll and embarking on a spontaneous adventure in the city! I hope to do more this upcoming semester in my spare time and show you guys what amazing street style I come across.
Buckle in Fashionistas, it is going to be a great semester!
