Hi, everyone! I’m so excited to be back as a CollegeFashionista for this fall, and to show you all the exciting Fashionistas I spot in the next couple of months!
In case you don’t know me, I am a fourth year student at Carleton University, in Ottawa, Canada (so be prepared for lots of layers as the year goes on, because it gets cold up here)! I love fashion, and being a part of CollegeFashionista this past summer was such a fun and stimulating experience that I could not wait to return as a fall Style Guru. Now when I get dressed for the day I’m much more conscious about what I wear! Not that I wasn’t stylish before, but I’m a little more conscious of my stylistic decisions now!
Like the outfit above, my style is based on comfort and femininity, with a little bit of edge. I love prints, but sometimes also opt for more toned down looks depending on my mood. For this post, I wore a printed maxi dress and chose to accessorize minimally with a few simple pieces to let the print really stand out. I wore gold sandals with a large gold and white ring, as well as a delicate silver multi-chained necklace. I also paired this dress with a lacy bralette to give it a bit more of a feminine edge and to make the neckline a bit more exciting. Since summer is ending but it was still hot out, I wanted to show a summery look that can also be easily transformed into a fall look by adding a leather jacket and a pair of neutral, detailed flats or boots.
I can’t wait to explore all the fashion and diverse style at Carleton University this fall and share it with you!
