Hello Fashionistas/os and welcome to my crib (a.k.a. page)! For those of you who don’t know, my name is Sam Butler, and I am a junior studying retail merchandising & fashion product development at the Ohio University. I am a returning Fashionista and cannot wait to continue this #RAD journey and share my love of fashion with the world.
Thinking back to when I was younger, “fashion designer” was always the answer I would give when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I was never the kid that wanted to be an astronaut or a police officer; a career in fashion was always this unattainable goal in the back of my mind. So naturally, I started freshman year in the computer science program. As you can probably guess, that did not work out—and here I am starting junior year pursuing a lifelong dream and loving every minute of it!
My personal style varies from day to day depending on my mood, and I love to take inspiration from people—whether they are celebrities or just strangers passing by. Today, I was inspired by the bandana scarf trend with a little Audrey Hepburn flare! This look is effortlessly chic and super easy to pull off. It was really all about the accessories! The base of the outfit was a simple pair of boyfriend jeans and a flowy white tee, both wardrobe staples. To turn the look from drab to fab, I added a bandana tied around my neck, a pair of strappy flats and some subtle cat eye sunglasses. Bring a pop of color to the look by applying a vibrant red lipstick and voilà—you’ve scored a super comfy outfit that looks like it took you hours to create!
