Hi there! My name is Sara and I am a sophomore at Temple University. I have not yet declared a major, but it will most probably be marketing. I have always had an interest in psychology, to study people, especially looking at patterns. I would say that is one of my fortes, being able to recognize and analyze patterns. I also found an interest in business. Ever since I stepped foot into the Fox School of Business, it felt right, like somewhere I belonged. The position of being between two different, yet similar areas of study for a long time made me realize that marketing would be a good fit for me, because in a way, it is the psychology of business.
After being part of a fashion show in my senior year of high school, I did not think that my fashion hobby would continue on, but in a way, it has. The fashion club has opened new doors for me and it is the one club where I can find myself in. It is an outlet that allows me to express my authenticity and creativity in fashion, regardless of my somewhat shy personality. From listening to and meeting with various fashion industry females to different events of bonding with like minded girls, it has been and continues to be a great experience. It also has made me come to the realization that there are endless opportunities for you in the fashion world, but you have to go and grab them yourself. The founder of the club, Lauren Snyder, was one of my first inspirations. I loved everything, from the way she talked and presented herself to her cool sense of style. She was a Style Guru as well, which made me find out about CollegeFashionista. At first, I did not think I could do something like her, but a few months later I applied and now I am so excited to be part of the team of Style Gurus, on the mission to spot more Fashionistas.
One of my favorite things to do is follow beauty or fashion bloggers, mainly on Instagram and Youtube. I get inspired from their daily life of thinking outside the box about how to combine garderobe items with each other. It has made me value and find a passion for all things beautiful, no matter how big or small. I am also inspired from the big fashion influencers in the media such as Beyonce, Deepika Padukone or Negin Mirsalehi, who is probably my favorite blogger on Instagram. I would classify my style as chic, classic and edgy. However, I am always in the lookout to experiment with something new that makes my look unique. Off-the-shoulder tops have been even more trendy lately, which I show through my outfit. A brown fedora and round sunglasses make the finished look rock even more. So go ahead and walk that walk, because every day is a fashion show and the world is YOUR runway!
