Hey there! I’m Sara. This is my third semester as a Style Guru for the always wonderful CollegeFashionista. I am super ecstatic to continue being able to show you all the great fashion on my campus. Currently, I am a junior in the fashion merchandising program at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale!
Ever since I can remember, I have always surrounded myself in some form of the fashion industry. Magazines have always been my favorite source of inspiration and I use them for my own personal trend forecasting. I usually keep up with the current trends as best as I can. I try to let my fashion choices show that I know my stuff when it comes to the trends of the season! My personal style is definitely all over the place because I am not afraid to try any trend I see in a magazine. Despite this, there is usually some form of a Bohemian element in my look because the style speaks to me the most.
For this look, I focused on the winter 2017 metallic gold trend I saw in a magazine. I started with a simple gold top and layered a blue and white pinstriped blazer over it. My high-waist jeans helped to balance out my long blazer over my short gold top. For accessories, I added a gold necklace, super cute electric blue pumps, and a navy handbag. Of course I had to finish off the look with some rings! You will never be able to find me without at least one turquoise stone ring on. That’s where my little bit of Bohemian style comes in!
This look is chic and comfy, which are two things I always strive for!
