My name is Sarah DeBoard, and I am looking forward to interning this summer with CollegeFashionista! Every week I will be sharing my fashion finds and advice from Temple University in Philadelphia, but beginning in July, I will be heading to Spain to study abroad for four weeks. I will continue to be on the search for stylish Fashionistas/os from overseas.
My sense of style does not have a set definition, which I believe is important. I love to experiment with different trends, whether they are current or not. An everyday, typical outfit you would see me wearing around campus would be a flowy shirt, jeans and a pop of color. This pop of color could come from my shoes, nail color or jewelry. I am currently obsessing over any sort of bold jewelry choices. My favorite bold choice are statement necklaces. Statement necklaces can be worn alone or you can pair three or four of your favorites together to create a daring and unique look. During the summer season, I can always be found wearing either Converse sneakers or a wedged heel. Wedged heels are a comfortable alternative to stiletto heels. Wedges are perfect for the summer season because they can be worn for any event whether it’s casual or dressy. The pair I am wearing has a ’70s vibe, which adds a cool factor to the outfit.
Beginning in college, fashion is how I began to define myself. Figuring out what styles made me feel comfortable and confident helped me express my best personality. I have always loved sharing what fashion trends become my newest obsession with my friends and family. Therefore, I am excited to be writing for CollegeFashionista this summer!
