Hello everyone! My name is Sarah and I am a student at Kent State University, studying fashion merchandising and public relations. Fashion is one of my biggest passions, cliché I know, so for this first post I wanted to give you a little taste of who I am and what my style is.
Here, I am wearing a pair of mom jeans, a striped knit shirt, a bowler hat and a pair of flatform sneakers. This is a pretty standard outfit for me, a few pieces may vary but the overall vibe tends to stay the same. I would describe my style as 10-year-old boy meets preppy mother. I tend to gravitate towards looser, vintage style clothing. I mostly shop at H&M, but you can also find me shopping at thrift stores, antique stores and even my mom’s closet (maybe that’s where the preppy mother side of my style comes from). I am actually pictured in front of a local antique store where I have found some great pieces, including scarves and even a skirt! My closest mostly consists of mom jeans, striped shirts and a variety of hats and vintage scarves. I tend not to take my style so seriously and wear what I enjoy and what makes me happy, as I believe everyone should.
Besides studying fashion, I enjoy painting and creating collages on Photoshop and Illustrator as well as volunteering with a variety of organizations on campus. I also love hanging out with my dog. I am basically obsessed with my dog, if I could feature her on CollegeFashionista in her various sweaters and jackets, I totally would.
Well, that is basically the run down of my style and what I enjoy doing. I am so excited to be writing articles this semester for CollegeFashionista and I can not wait to share with you the exciting trends happening here at Kent State University!
