What’s new, Fashionista/os? I am ecstatic for the upcoming summer months and so thrilled to be serving as a Style Guru for the second semester! As most of you already know, I am going to be a junior at the University of Kentucky, working towards dual degrees in marketing and merchandising, apparel and textiles. This summer I am living in New York City for an amazing internship opportunity in fashion which I am incredibly excited about getting started!
I have been dreaming of living in the big city for many years now so I am thrilled to get a taste of city life this summer. I like to think of myself as a very creative person, I like to manipulate everything I see in a way that makes it visually appealing and beautiful. I feel that writing has always been one of my strong suits and I think that comes from my avid love of reading from a very long age. Whether it’s Tory Burch, Rebecca Minkoff, Chloé, Topshop, ASOS, NASTY GAL or J.Crew, styles of all kinds give me such joy and inspiration for fashion. Spending my summer in the city is truly a dream for a midwestern girl like myself.
My style can be described as a lot of different things, but I think what is of the utmost importance to me when it comes to fashion is comfort. Chunky heels and oversized T-shirts are some of my favorites to sport in the warmer months. As a student, it’s really vital for me to wear things that are functional and versatile like this casual and trendy leather jacket with feminine details. I am always on the lookout for things that can be worn multiple different ways!
I am so thankful that CollegeFashionista has allowed me another semester of expressing myself and what I love and inspires me. I can’t wait to share my summer in the city with you all, my Fashionista/os. I’ll be on the lookout for inspiration around every corner!
