Hello my fellow Fashionista/o’s! This is my third STYLE GURU BIO (wow, it has already been that long) and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ll be once again on the lookout for the most fashionable students and I cannot wait to bring you all even more RAD looks from Wayne State’s campus this semester.
If you are new to CollegeFashionista let me fill you in and tell you a little bit about myself. I am almost done with my college career at Wayne State University double majoring in fashion merchandising and marketing. Fashion has always been my biggest passion ever since I can remember. To me, fashion is the best form of self-expression and I love that I can express myself differently on a day to day basis.
When describing my style the first thing that comes to my mind is that it’s constantly changing. One thing that is always consistent in my wardrobe is accessories wether it is a necklace, handbag or a pair of shoes, accessories are just my thing. That perfect chunky statement necklace or colored handbag can make all the difference in the world. This is why I chose to feature this look. It goes to show how big of a difference accessories can make.
Since fall is coming up dusters will be everywhere and they are huge this season. They are  pretty thin but can keep you warm with a sweater underneath and really can pull a basic minimalistic look together. Jackets are worth investing in. I love Topshop, Zara and Nordstrom. These are all places where you will find high quality items for relatively cheap. I paired this duster with a graphic T-shirt and dark washed destroyed skinny jeans which are pieces that I think we all have in our wardrobe.
Choosing the accessories are always the hardest part because they have to be perfect in order to pull everything together. The shoes and the handbag instantly pulled everything together, not everything always has to be matchy-matchy. I love to mix and match different prints and pieces because one way or another they always end up complimenting one another. Lastly, on my way out the door I threw a gray floppy hat on and called it a day. Hats are my go to accessory when I don’t really feel like doing my hair and especially for fall and winter, they are key in most of my looks.
Fall is one of my all time favorite seasons because there are so many amazing looks you can come up with. So stay tuned for my looks coming your way this semester and always feel free to give them a #RAD!
