Hey Fashionistas/os! I’m Sarah and this is my second semester as a Style Guru. I am a junior at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee, but I’ve spent most of my life in Nashville. My major is digital media and I plan to pursue a career in graphic design once I graduate.
As a Style Guru this past summer, I learned so much and made a lot of wonderful connections with other Style Gurus. I am constantly amazed with the CollegeFashionista community and cannot wait to see all of the new talent this semester. Writing for CollegeFashionista is something I truly enjoy aside from graphic design, and I am so glad to be back for another semester!
The look I’m wearing is a combination of neutrals which is by far my favorite go-to color palette. I draw inspiration from many different outlets, so my style changes each and every day. However, this faux suede skirt has been a staple in my closet ever since I purchased it. It’s a great all year round piece that transitions easily from season to season.
For this look, I paired my skirt with a simple black top and classic ankle strap heels from Steve Madden. Of course, one of the biggest trends right now is chokers and I am just as obsessed as everyone else. I love this simple, chic leather choker from Urban Outfitters because it goes with literally everything. My purse is another piece in my closet that I carry around all the time, but lately I’ve added a pom-pom keychain for some extra flair.
I am so excited to share another #RAD semester with Style Gurus old and new, as well as more stylish Fashionistas. Seeing all of you create standout outfits will be a highlight of my fall semester.
