Happy summer to all of my fellow fashion lovers out there! My name is Sarah Warner and I am sophomore fashion merchandising major with a minor in fashion media and public relations at Kent State University. I aim to go into fashion publicity and to work at a fashion publication (maybe Marie Claire if I win the job lottery). I’m a southern girl born and raised in a town north of Atlanta, Georgia, but you’ll never hear a charming twang in my voice thanks to my midwestern parents. The south has many perks but I wouldn’t call the summers here one of them. I do, however, try my best to stay stylish and cool in the heat.
Since finishing my freshman year of college and my first semester with CollegeFashionista I have become so much more confident in my decision to move such a far distance to pursue a career in fashion. I am incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to write for CollegeFashionista again and I am so excited to share this experience with you all.
My individual style is a mix of girly and a dash of sass. I take a lot of inspiration from my peers at school and from the styles I see on the sidewalks of Atlanta—as well as fashion and lifestyle bloggers like Amy Havins. It’s easy to see my southern roots in my everyday style from my feminine silhouettes and love for bright color. I can’t wait to show you Fashionistas/os some of the best street styles of Atlanta.
