Hello everyone! My name is ShaKayla Eaddy. Spring 2017 will be my first semester as a Style Guru, and I can’t wait to start this journey. This will be such a great experience, and I am beyond grateful for this opportunity. I would describe my personality as silly, girly, but very business-minded.
I am a sophomore at Columbia College Chicago majoring in fashion business with a minor in marketing. I am originally from Detroit, Michigan, and I have always had an extreme passion for fashion and big cities, which is why I chose to go to school in Chicago; my experience at my school and in the windy city has been amazing.
I run my own personal blog and brand called Young $tylish Lifestyle, where I wardrobe style and do creative direction. I love everything fashion and what it represents and how it makes me feel. I would describe my personal style as very creative, chic, unique, and very frugal, but the way I put things together makes my outfits look like they cost a lot—they probably didn’t. I feel like it is important for people to dress for themselves and not for anyone else. It is important to dress how you feel and wear what you feel best represents your personality.
My personal style and everyday outfits are always different, but they always represent me—this includes looking very chic, maybe wearing things differently than they are supposed to be worn, and just putting things together that come out looking better than I expected.
With this look, I kept it neutral with colors and wore a pop of color with my lipstick. I wore a white faux leather dress, a denim jacket, and mesh heel booties for more of a chic look. For accessories, I wore a red cross-body purse to match my lipstick and a crystal chocker.
Thank you for reading, and be on the lookout for the other article I have to come.
