One of the things I love about being a Cancer sign is that I am in tune with the water. The water puts a Cancer’s moodiness at ease. Growing up I couldn’t wait to swim in the ocean. I would let the waves carry me and pretend I was a mermaid. To this day, I still believe I am a mermaid.
My Alex and Ani mermaid charm bangle is one of my favorite accessories. I pair it with my anchor charm bangle and anchor statement ring to continue a nautical theme with my outfit. I like my style to be like water: going with the flow. Even my nails go with the nautical theme with a California blue shade. My nails and toes are always done. I use gel polish on my nails because they stay glamorous longer and the finishing look is perfection. I wear bright colors to go with my bright, outgoing personality.
If you ever catch me in public, I’m either dressed all the way down in sweatpants and a T-shirt or I’m dressed head-to-toe with accessories, makeup and hair popping. This day I was shopping at Short Pump Mall in Richmond, Virginia. I decided to wear a casual ribbed mini dress so I would be comfortable and fashionable at the same time. Dresses are one of my favorite types of apparel because I love how they flow with each curve on my body. You can find a dress for any occasion. I kept my look casual by wearing my Michael Kors sneakers. My sneakers made it easy and comfortable for me to walk around the mall. My eyebrows stay fierce with Anastasia Beverly Hills dip-brow pomade.
Fashion and writing are my two favorite things. Writing gives me the chance to say what I’m thinking and creates a connection with other people. Through my writing, I’m honest and keep it relaxed. I love fashion because its like an art and a way for me to express my personality. My advice for anyone would be to be yourself. Dress how you want because if your style makes you happy that’s all that matters. We only get one life to live so we must live it to the fullest.
