Hello fellow Fashionistas!
First off, let me introduce myself; my name is Shannon Nease. I currently am a sophomore at Albright College. I am studying Fashion Design and Art. I am from Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, where driving a tractor to school is accepted and common.
My style has changed throughout my life, but my love for fashion has always stayed the same. I was always dressed different growing up; I like to pair things together that people wouldn’t normally think to do. I love going to thrift stores and altering the clothes and making it my own, I also love recycling my mom’s old clothes. I get really inspired at the thrift store and seeing the old unwanted or out of date clothes. I also draw a lot of inspiration from England and its daring style.
I would describe my style as vintage, current, and edgy. I wear a lot of dark neutral colors, or I wear a floral print with dark accessories. I think accessories and shoes can make or break an outfit. A girl can never have enough shoes! I have always wore glasses, so they automatically ad to be incorporated into my style and I get a new pair every year. I also suffer from a shopping addiction. Working two retail jobs and seeing all the new merchandise and what will be in and trending is so tempting, and with being a bargain hunter I am always buying little pieces that over time pile up and I am left with no more closet or drawer space. And we all know how difficult it is to put our whole wardrobe into the tiny dorm rooms. Lastly, and the most import fact about me is that I am an avid cat lover. I tend to incorporate them into my everyday life and especially into my fashion. Even though I am the stereotypical cat lady, I wear them in a subtle way.
The outfit that I am wearing I represents my style the most. I’ll start from head to toe; I am wearing a hat that is super cute for any season and also hides a bad hair day! Then I am wearing my grandma glasses. Even for those fortunate people that aren’t blind, you can just buy frames and have a plain lens put in and rock them. I am wearing my favorite moon choker, a sporty crop top with color-blocked straps and a matching oversized flannel since I am always cold. I am also all for comfort, so boyfriend jeans are a must-have; they’re so relaxed and casual and are perfect for those not-so-girly girls. Down to my shoes, I am wearing the perfect day to night shoes. They’re black boots with lace-up the front and a little heel. I love how they’re so edgy and can give any outfit spunk. Last but not least, of course I had to wear my everyday cat ring and all time favorite cat tapestry purse!
