Whether it comes to grades, cheerleading or writing, I always want whatever I do to reflect who I really am. As of late, I separate myself through fashion. By doing so, you never know what you may find in my closet.
Throughout high school, I ran through tons of trends and set many more. I was a sneaker-head with Jordan’s, KD’s or anything with a Nike swoosh. Since then I’ve learned how to incorporate my sneakers with different outfits while still looking girly!
I also spend a lot of my time in thrift stores looking for pieces that would make a rad addition to my closet. I’ve taught myself how to reinvent items by distressing, bleaching and adding my own twist. People are always asking me where I get my jeans from, and when I tell them I made them they are shocked. People’s reaction when I tell them my clothes are from the thrift store is even more priceless.
For this look, the shorts I’m wearing were originally Levi pants from the thrift store, bleached and distressed by me.
I am also a big fan of mesh and black, but it’s oftentimes hard to find something to wear underneath. With the fashion craze behind these designer sports bras, I created my own with a pair of Polo Ralph Lauren boxers.
This was a very simple outfit, but sometimes less is more. What pulled it all together was a detail that can not go unnoticed in the fashion industry—makeup! My face was made up by a dear friend, Sianna Crowder, and the cut -crease eyeshadow was what I considered the best part of this outfit. I hope this gave you a little look into my style, and gets you excited for what I have coming up for all of summer ’16!
