Hello there! My name is Shelbi Harris and I am so excited to be returning to CollegeFashionista for a sixth semester! I am currently a rising Senior at Georgia State University studying Marketing with a minor in Spanish and Journalism. You would think as a senior I would have a good idea as to what career I would like to pursue when I’m older, but unfortunately that’s still a work in progress. Hopefully, when I graduate I will pursue my dream and work with a fashion magazine or work in the PR industry.
This will be my first time taking summer classes (five year plan struggles), but I absolutely do not mind because that means I can spend my time between classes spotting some #RAD students walking around campus! Besides summer school and being a Style Guru this summer, you can also find me working, interning and hanging out with friends. I also love to travel and already have a few trips planned, so follow me on Instagram if you want to see where I’m going this summer!
I must admit that being in college has made me forget my love for fashion and dressing up everyday has been put on the back burner. I realize that it was much easier in high school to put effort into my looks, but sometimes I’m too busy to care anymore. The best part of being a Style Guru is finding Fashionistas/os around campus that inspire me to be more creative and step outside the box with my looks.
In this look I am wearing a romper, which is my favorite to wear in the summer. The long necklace that I am wearing is one of my favorites right now and I have noticed that this style with tassels is very trendy at the moment. Last but not least, the shoes! I am wearing a pair of black booties which I should have retired in the winter but I can’t seem to put them away (sorry, not sorry).
