Hello! My name is Shelbi and I am returning to CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru for my seventh semester! I am currently a senior at Georgia State University with a major in marketing and a minor in journalism and Spanish. I have dreams of moving to New York City and pursuing my dream career of working for a fashion magazine (or becoming famous, whichever comes first).
I was always interested in fashion, but I never thought of it as a career option until I saw the movie The Devil Wears Prada. It has become my favorite movie and I still have dreams of becoming some version of Miranda Priestly.
Besides being a Style Guru, I like to stay involved on campus. I serve as secretary for my sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi, and I am a writer for Her Campus. I love to travel, listen to music, and go to concerts. Some of my favorite music artists include Justin Bieber, Kanye West, One Direction (RIP), and Beyoncé.
As far as my personal style goes, I’m always all over the place. Being in college got the best of me so dressing up doesn’t always happen, but I always take the opportunity to dress up when I’m not in class or working. In the outfit that I am wearing, I have on a brown bodysuit paired with a patterned skort. For shoes, I am wearing booties and I accessorized with a choker.
