Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Shelby Stivale and I’m proud to say that this is my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. This year, I am a sophomore at Indiana University Bloomington. I am majoring in Journalism and minoring in Apparel Merchandising. I have big dreams of writing for a major fashion magazine and one day becoming editor-in-chief. At school, I am involved in many activities including the Retail Studies Organization and the Indiana University Dance Marathon. I spent most of the summer in my bed watching Grey’s Anatomy, so I’m happy to be back at school and living in the real world.
I have a wide range of interests stemming from Harry Potter and going as far as live-tweeting award shows. I give myself the title of self-proclaimed Fashionista and boy-band enthusiast because, yes, I am upset that Zayn left One Direction.
My style, as seen in these photos, can go anywhere from grunge to glam. Currently, I’m obsessed with ‘90s style, so I’ve incorporated oversized flannels and braids into my daily looks. I like to dress down for class because I’m running all over campus all day, so this is an example of what I would wear for comfort with a little touch of my own personal style. As fall is approaching, I’m putting the flip-flops to rest and breaking out some of my slip-on sneakers. The cheetah-print ones that I have on here are from Steve Madden, but you can never go wrong with a classic pair of Vans.
Over the past couple of months I have acquired a bad case of Kylie Jenner lip envy. In order to attempt to mimic her perfect pout my go-to lipstick/lip liner has been Whirl by MAC Cosmetics.
