Hey there Fashionistas! I’m so excited to start sharing my love of fashion with everyone out there! With first semester of freshman year behind me, I have not only grown more as a person but my style has continued to grow with me as well. Here at IU, I am an apparel merchandising major with a minor in business and journalism. Walking around campus has definitely opened my eyes to the diverse styles and trends that surround me, and I have definitely started to incorporate these new styles into my personal wardrobe.
Fashion has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in NYC with parents who introduced me to shopping at a very early age. When I moved out of the city, it wasn’t always so easy to shop because everything was a driving distance away, but I found this little boutique in town that I became obsessed with. Eventually I got an job there sophomore year of high school and worked there until I graduated. It definitely showed me the many different opportunities within the fashion world and pushed me to continue pursuing my dreams.
My style is always changing! I can’t say that I have a specific style. It really depends on my mood and the occasion. Usually you can catch me in jeans, sneakers and an oversized sweater as pictured in the post. I believe sneakers go with everything and you can never have enough of them…at least I can’t! I’m also obsessed with handbags so I love to complete every outfit with a bag that stands out.
I’m looking forward to writing as a Style Guru, and I can’t wait to continue to share my style ideas, favorite pieces and current trends on campus! Style on everyone!
