Hey fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Sophie Miller and I am so excited to start my first semester as a Style Guru this summer! Even though I am back at home in Rockland County, New York for the summer, I am still super excited to represent the fashion seen around Marist College.
I just transferred to Marist College this past semester and am super happy with my decision to come for the fashion program. I am currently a rising sophomore in the Fashion Merchandising program with a concentration in Fashion Promotion. I am so lucky to have been given the opportunity to go to a college which has so many opportunities in the fashion world.
For me my “passion for fashion” came at an early age, I always loved dressing up and putting on my own fashion shows in my room. Not much has changed for me; every day is still an occasion to dress up. I firmly believe that my personal style is one of the best ways I express myself. I would consider my style always changing depending on what I am feeling or who inspires me.
If I had to describe my style, it would be very girly with a little bit of bohemian flair. I love dresses with fun patterns, but I am also starting a small kimono collection. My biggest influences in both fashion and in my personal life are Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Conrad and Taylor Swift. Along with these iconic fashionistas, being a fashion student, I also look towards designer influences in my daily style. kate spade is my favorite. I love anything kate spade, especially their watches. I even did a project on the company for one of my fashion classes.
