How’s it going Fashionistas/os?! It’s your girl Stacey here and before we begin, let me introduce myself:
Long Island Livin’ – I am originally from Floral Park, New York on Long Island. I know what you’re thinking, and no, my Long Island accent isn’t too harsh! My love for fashion started when I was old enough to pick out my own outfits, instead of my mom forcing frilly skirts and big bows on me. I went to a private high school school, where I was required to wear a strict uniform, which left me no freedom to express my inner fashionista. I did, however, teach myself to style hair and apply makeup in order to give the uniform my own flair.
City Girl at Heart – Floral Park is a small town, so when I was ready to apply to colleges, I set my eye on FIT. I mean come on, what better city to live in than New York am I right?! The Fashion Institute of Technology was my dream school for as long as I knew what college even was. When I finally heard from FIT about being accepted into their Fashion Merchandising and Management program, I immediately burst into tears; I’m an emotional girl, what can I say? My dream had finally come true! I just received my Associate’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Management, and decided to start a new path towards my Bachelor’s Degree in Home Product Development. I have always been interested in interior design and some day I hope to get my face on HGTV. A girl can only dream right? FIT has taught me to be comfortable in my own skin and to express myself through fashion, and I never feel judged (well, only if I wear sweats on a lazy morning)!
I strongly believe that nothing can go wrong when you have a fresh mani-pedi and your hair and makeup are on point. I love trying new foods and I’m always looking forward to dessert. I’m pretty shy when you first meet me, but after a while, you won’t be able to shut me up! I’m super excited that I was chosen as an intern for College Fashionista because I would love to start my own blog some day either about fashion or interior design. My goal this fall is to help out all those shy fashionistas/os out there express themselves through their personal style without feeling judged, and I want you all to come along for the ride with me! Don’t worry, I also have some tips for lazy day outfit styling as well; I feel you lazy girls!
Hopefully this sneak preview into my life has intrigued you enough to follow along on my journey this fall with College Fashionista! Make sure to follow my page here, on twitter and instagram to stay updated! See ya soon, loves!
