Hello Fashionistas and Fashionistos! How exciting is this? I am so happy to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this summer. First of all, let me tell you a little bit about me. I am Stefanie Jordao, an enthusiast about fashion, traveling, and life! I am from Brazil, but I have been living in the United States for about six years now. I am majoring in Communication at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the last spring semester I studied Fashion at Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy.
If I had to define my style I would say that it is feminine and culturally diverse. As I mentioned before, I am passionate about traveling and I try to incorporate different cultures and styles into my daily looks, even if it means just to wear an accessory or piece of clothing from the place I have visited before. I also adore delicate looks and I tend to rely on outfits that are more elegant and chic. I have a blog named The Brightest Summer in which I give many fashion and traveling tips. It actually turned to be one of my biggest hobbies and I love it!
I believe that accessories are everything. They can compose and complete a look, making it more personal and stylish, just as the hat I am wearing. I am also a shoe lover and I am actually wearing one of my favorite pairs in the pictures. Pairing the perfect shoes with the right outfit is key to completing an outfit and I believe it really brought out the romantic look into the overall style.
While living in Milan, I realized that the way you dress is extremely important since it is a crucial communication tool. Fashion is instant language and I love to explore as well discover someone’s personality by their style, which is another reason why I am so excited to be a Style Guru! Oh, I also realized that my favorite gelato flavor is Kiwi and, of course, I had to take a picture with it!
I basically enjoy taking inspiration from the places I travel to and my own mood for the day. Having a sense of fashion is important, but it is even more essential to know what you like and feel comfortable as well as confident wearing. After all, fashion is all about having fun and expressing yourself! I hope you enjoy reading my posts every Thursday and that you are able to take inspirations from it too.
