Hi fellow Fashionistas/os!! I’m Stefanie and I’m excited to start my first semester with CollegeFashionista for the summer of 2016! I’m currently an upcoming sophomore at New York University studying psychology and marketing with the hopes of working in fashion business when I graduate!
Growing up in a small, New England farm town, fashion was the least of anyone’s concern. It was never something that people were passionate about or interested in; fashion was essentially non-existent as we all wore T-shirts and jeans everyday. I then attended prep school where everyone wore Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines. I quickly became interested in clothes and fashion but was still stuck in very specific parameters. After moving to New York City for college I realized just how diverse fashion was; I fell in love with it.
I have started to really figure out what I like to wear and what trends I want to continue but my eclectic background has led to a meshed fashion sense. On any given day I take boho, preppy and minimalistic trends and mix them together to make them all my own. I really believe that being fashionable is less about looking like the Fashionistas we aspire to be but to creating your own style and mixing it all up.
I spend unhealthy amounts of time on Pinterest finding inspiration in everything. I obsess over Alexa Chung, WeWoreWhat and everything Poppy Delevigne wears. I also love to read fashion related books like Diane Von Furstenberg’s The Woman I Wanted To Be!
This look is a mix of all of my current fashion obsessions: mixing patterns, my Dior sunglasses and bringing back chokers! I’m excited for a RAD semester!
