Hey, my name is Stephanie Dresher and I am a born and raised Jersey girl. I am a current freshman at Rutgers University and I am hoping to pursue communications. My love for fashion started when I was seven and I found my first style icon, Stacy London from What Not to Wear. My dream was to take over her job one day and have my very own show like her. I soon expanded my dream by taking fashion classes and that’s when I knew fashion and I had a bond that no one could separate.
My style ranges from edgy to comfy-chic on the daily. I wake up in the morning and basically pull out pieces that describe my mood and overall attitude towards the day. My current favorite style-icons range from Kourtney Kardshian to Princess Kate. My current go-to pieces would have to be my vintage band tees, any color bomber jacket and booties. Of course, any Fashionista could never forget to leave the house without their reflective sunnies that pull the whole look together.
Besides my love for fashion, I love to visit different places and cute towns as well as indulge in a good book or television series. I bring my personal style with me to all the places I travel to and get fashion advice through some of my favorite fictional characters (who doesn’t love Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl?).
I am constantly exposed to new fashion trends whether it is from students at school or my constant trips to New York city. Anybody can pull off any look with the right amount of confidence and self-love. I always remind myself of the quote that Stacey London would say, “Don’t let fear or insecurity stop you from trying new things. Believe in yourself.”
I am beyond thrilled to work with CollegeFashionista this semester and show you all a little insight into my personal love for fashion!
