Hello there my fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Stephanie LeDonne and I’m a post-undergrad at Kent State University. I have a Bachelor of Science in Women’s Studies from Penn State University. My love of everything fashion inspired me to go back to school and work towards a degree in Fashion Merchandising. So far, fashion school is everything I imagined it would be, and so much more. My favorite part about fashion school is that I get to combine my love for fashion and my love for feminism. This past semester I conducted research on the disconnect between fashion and feminism, and how we can bridge the gap between the two. My goal is for the two things I love the most to come together and help to empower people everywhere. In my free time I can be found browsing Instagram and Pinterest for the latest styles and trends. My other hobbies include reading, writing, listening to music and most recently, running. I love anything that allows me to use my imagination to escape the hassles of everyday life.
My fashion inspiration mostly comes from different aspects of my hobbies. If I’m really feeling a certain song I’ll dress in a way that reflects the feelings and emotions I get from it. I’m also inspired by a sense of rebellion. The idea of dressing in a way that challenges societal norms has always played a role in my style inspiration. I’m a firm believer in dressing for one’s self and letting fashion empower you.
My style is always changing, one week I can be found wearing all black with thick eyeliner and the next week I’m rocking a Boho look with a seemingly fresh face. Since summer is quickly approaching I find myself drawn to a more natural, yet stylish look. This light and airy crochet dress paired with black mules helped me achieve a simple, yet chic outfit. I paired this outfit with a jean jacket, just in case a light summer breeze decided to blow through.
Style says a lot about a person and I’m excited to see what your style says about you!!
