The blogosphere’s influence on the fashion industry has skyrocketed in what seems like only a brief period of time, pioneered by online it-girls such as Alexa Chung, Song of Style, India Fox, and so many more. So, as I picked up my life and packed it into boxes on the move from New Jersey to the Big Apple, I decided to try to make a name for myself in the online world!
Born and raised in Jersey, I grew up in a town that was a melting pot of diversity, culture, and fashion. All my life I witnessed the influence this industry had on every single individual, and upon this realization, I grew passionate about styling outfits, sewing, dressing up (even if it was for no reason, oops), following the newest trends, and fashion in general! It became a huge part of my identity at an early age, and I am now one step closer to being a part of the group of designers whom make the trends we all follow as a fashion design student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. I like to think of myself as a fashion chameleon, as I don’t like to restrict myself to one specific style. There are so many opportunities to (almost) transform your personality by the outfit you’re wearing, and that’s one of my favorite aspects of fashion. I love to switch it up all the time; one day I’ll be ’90s grunge street style and the next boho chic.
Now, aside from fashion, I do have other interests!! I know, weird!! First thing you have to know about me, I am extremely dorky about almost all of my hobbies. Let’s be real, if you’re not passionate about what you love, why even bother with it? Like almost every other human being on this planet, I love Netflix and HBO GO; I’m a huge House of Cards, Game of Thrones, Criminal Minds, and Bob’s Burgers fan. When I get myself out of bed from binge-watching shows, I love being active and hiking or going to the gym, spending time with my friends, and attending concerts/music festivals.
