Hi you, Fashionistas/os, you! My name is Steven Lee, and I am a new Style Guru as of summer 2015. I attend Cleveland State University (#CLEstate) as a Film major and an Art minor. I am interested in all forms of art, from still photography to music to motion graphics, and fashion serves as a dominant inspiration.
I very much believe in the notion that the clothes we wear are not mere articles of fabric that cover our bodies but a statement that speaks before the mouth. Especially in today’s fast-paced society, one’s style is a great facilitator in leaving impressions.
Then again, I do not think there is a set of absolute rules that one should feel obligated to follow—as is with all art, but even slightly more so with fashion. No one looks like anybody else. My first and last advice I will give as a Style Guru before I write about my personal preferences and tastes starting next week would be: Do not look to anybody else, but within yourself!
I am also a South Korean native. It’s been a little over a decade since I began my life here in the States, but I am still a South Korean national. I studied at America’s largest university, the Ohio State University, as well. On top of that, for the past five years or so, I’ve been trying hard to find my own answers; I changed majors starting with Computer Science before ending at my passion, Film and Digital Media.
My favorite item from this post is definitely my vividly blue jacket. I don’t really like wearing heavy while I absolutely love to layer; this jacket is the perfect icing on any cake. It’s from a few seasons ago, so they don’t have the exact same thing in stock, but the cotton/nylon lightweight jacket that comes the closest can be found here on the Land’s End website.
The custom Buckeyes hat can be ordered on various templates. One of them looks like this.
And, as what can be defined as accessories gets more and more liberal, a respectable-looking camera is a must for any aspiring photographer. What I am holding is a Canon 70D, the first Canon camera to implement the new Dual-Pixel Autofocus system. To me, this technology divides Canon cameras of the old and the new. The most stylish camera that takes professional level pictures, in my opinion, is the Fujifilm X-T1.
There are many, MANY, fashionable (if not interesting) people here in Cleveland, strutting their own unique auras all over the place. Combining their energy and my various experiences and background, I hope to provide you with fresh perspectives and views on fashion!
