Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Sydney Huneycutt, and I will be a senior this upcoming fall at the University of Tennessee. I am a Marketing major with a Retail and Consumer Sciences minor.
All fashion lovers may say they have a “passion for fashion,” and you can, most definitely, toss me into that crowd. But for me, I wanted to be a Style Guru to show my sense of personal style as well as gain feedback to further my skill set in styling. I like to describe my sense of style as classic but with a contemporary edge. I love traditional and classic hemlines that can be staples in one’s closet. The saying “less is more” guides most of my personal tastes. I am inspired by timeless fashion prior to the trends of today, and I look to find classic staple pieces as the base of an outfit rather than the trend. I usually build from the classics and then intertwine new pieces, as there are reasons for why some styles simply never fade.
I love fashion because it is not just picking out clothes that are appealing but rather a form of art and self-expression. There is no right or wrong fashion choice, and that is what makes it so refreshing in the dynamic world we live in. Regarding CollegeFashionista and its purpose, I hope that I can capture several trends and looks that appeal to more than just one group. At the end of the day, it is all about feeling the best in whatever you wear!
I look forward to sharing my favorite pieces centered around the college and fast-paced lifestyle that we all live in! I feel that it is essential to have a diverse closet, especially as a college student, as there are so many different activities we engage in that call for varying pieces and styles.
I wanted to share pieces that I found inspiring and thought CollegeFashionista would be the perfect way to start. Anyway, that is enough about me, and I am looking forward to more posts to come.
