Hello everyone! I am excited to be back for my second semester writing for CollegeFashionista. I am originally from Portland, Oregon, but currently a senior at Texas Christian University studying Strategic Communication and Sociology. I have a huge sense of wanderlust and carry my camera with me everywhere I go. I spent this past summer in South Africa working with wildlife on the Amakhala game reserve. The winter weather in the southern hemisphere was a refresher from the Texas heat. While I was there I got to show off my winter wardrobe and learn about fashion trends from the other side of the world.
Now that I have returned to Texas I have also returned to my summer attire. Today I am wearing a printed romper, a rose gold watch and black flats. My favorite way to accessorize is painted nails; today they are a dark gray. I feel most at peace when my nail color matches my outfit.
My style has grown throughout the past few months and is continuing to develop. I wouldn’t classify my style as one thing or another; it is more of a combination of styles. Some days I am super boho and some days I go for more of a Parisian look. My style depends on how I feel in the morning. I try to live by the words “It’s a new day.” As the semester goes on I will try to take on each day as it comes, and embrace who I am through my style.
