From a young age, I’ve always been enamored with fashion. An L.A. girl at heart, my style has always been very eclectic and versatile—kicking back on the beach in Malibu by day to walking the streets of West Hollywood by night. Whether it’s drawing up designs or styling friends and family, I love to share my eye for style with others to accentuate their natural beauty. I find that my enthusiasm is infectious and makes others more comfortable in trying something new for their look. The way I see it, if you look confident, you feel more confident, which doesn’t go unnoticed by those around you.
Here at UCSB, our transition from spring to summer isn’t exactly what you would expect from “Sunny Southern California.” So, to combat June Gloom while still rocking the streets-meet-beach feel, layer it up with a cute bralette, loose tank and that denim jacket that never goes out of style. Add black ripped jeans and a statement belt to edge up the look, balancing out the ease of the top. After all, in Santa Barbara, you never want to look like you’re trying too hard—but you most certainly did not wake up like this!
Headed downtown? Swap the denim for a leather jacket. The beach? Throw on black shorts and a pair of flip flops. Versatility is key in the ever-changing weather on the West Coast, where you’ll often find yourself wearing three outfits a day to match your spontaneous lifestyle.
Play up the basics, and you’ll be ready for anything!
