Hi fashion lovers! My name is Sydney, and this is my second semester as a Style Guru and obviously still loving it. I am about to start my senior year of college as a fashion merchandising major at Stevenson University. I cannot imagine myself pursuing any other profession after I graduate and I am really excited to see where this industry takes me!
Creating a style for yourself is very important to me. I have always loved shopping and fashion, and I have always known this is what I wanted to do. I pride myself on being fashion forward and taking risks with each outfit I chose to present myself in. Fashion is more than just looking out together, it is something that makes you who you are and can influence the world around you.
My style is feminine but edgy; like I said before, I like to take risks. Although this outfit is more on the chill side, it says a lot about my taste. A simple halter crop top with a pair of loose-fitting ripped jeans is a staple outfit for me. The boyfriend jean trend is hot right now and who could pass up the opportunity to wear some comfy jeans that aren’t cutting off the circulation in your legs for once? I know I am ALL in for that one. I also I love, love, love bralettes and you will probably never catch me wearing anything else. They are just about the closest thing to a wearing bra under your clothes all day, but without the discomfort and still rocking all the style. But my shoes are by far my favorite part of this outfit. You can never go wrong with a nude, laced-up block heel.
As you can see, I am a huge fan of looking cute but staying comfortable, and I think that is super important when you are in class all day or at work. Some people find it hard to combine both, but if you keep an open mind and try some new things, you can be able to feel as hot as you look! I love this outfit because it can be worn for so many different occasion from brunch to day-to-day activities. Changing a few aspects of this outfit, like adding a strappy top and it would be great for a night out!
Being in this industry at such a thriving time in fashion is really an amazing experience. I am so excited to share my style and all of the fab styles I find on campus! And of course, I hope that some will be your #goals and can find some inspiration from my fellow classmates just like I have!
