Hello to all the lovely Fashionistas/os out there! Let me start by introducing myself. I am a second-year student studying communications at San Diego State University, and this is my third semester with CollegeFashionista. It’s crazy how time flies when you’re writing about the things you love. I’m thrilled to be a part of the Style Guru gang once again. There is no better team to work with than all these fashionable Style Gurus!
Aside from being a Style Guru intern, I write for The Odyssey, Her Campus and my very own fashion-based blog! Ever since I was a child, I loved being the creator of my own outfits. In regards to my love for writing, I picked up a book the second I had a chance and have been reading and writing ever since. Currently, I’m interested in pursuing a career in fashion marketing or working for a fashion magazine.
As far as my own personal style goes, I live for a great statement piece. Whether that be a fabulous coat, a rockin’ pair of shoes or some killer black, skinny jeans, I’m all for creating multiple outfits off of one piece. It’s rainy in Southern California, and that’s as winter as it’s going to get here, so I took advantage of the cloudy skies. As you can see from my pictures, I decided to throw on this mustard coat I scored on Black Friday with a pair of high-waisted black skinny jeans. To complement the coat, I wore a long sleeve crop top and a pair of caramel booties. In addition, I accessorized with Alex and Ani bracelets and little, gold rings. For an extra touch, I wrapped a scarf around my neck and knotted the ends.
I adore observing the latest fashion trends recreated by others. I love that there’s a sense of personality in a wardrobe and an element of self-expression within fashion. Check back here in the middle of each month to see what San Diego fashion enthusiasts have to offer!
