Tabi, here, reporting for CollegeFashionista duty! I am so excited to be writing for CF for my fourth semester. Can you believe that? Every time I write a bio, I find that I’ve changed remarkably. Whether that be in my wardrobe or in my mentality, I’m never the same Style Guru twice. This time around I am inspired by travel. I spent the summer traveling Europe and was swept away by all the amazing style I witnessed.
Coming back to San Diego in the fall was different this time around. Why? Well, this is my third and final year at San Diego State and I’m graduating with a degree in Communications and a minor in Marketing. Those who have followed me through the past three years will advocate that my style has changed significantly. That’s what’s absolutely incredible about fashion. It molds to your moods, inspirations and seasons.
I have always been a lover of fashion, as I find that it’s the perfect way to express myself. All my emotions are clearly communicated in the pieces I wear. Ever since I can remember, I have always managed to intertwine the latest trends with my own style twist. I am also a passionate writer, of not only CollegeFashionista, but that of my own personal blog, FashionOverTea, where I produce pieces about fashion, lifestyle and beauty. What started as a personal documentation of what was going on in my life, became more of blogger meets world portfolio.
Let’s talk about my personal style. My style is pretty simple. I take pieces I’m absolutely in love with and wear it every which way. I live for statement pieces like a great, leather jacket, a fabulous pair of black booties and a killer pair of high-waisted, skinny jeans. As mentioned above, my style has taken a turn because of my travels in Europe. I feel more comfortable in funky pieces and allow myself the freedom to dress in what makes me feel great. Although I usually do that, I’m a lot more willing to take that long, over-sized jean jacket into action.
I hope that I can bring some inspiration every month to all of you!
Where you’ll find me: on campus reading a book (I’m reading Lean In right now and I highly recommend it), at home watching Netflix (I’m obsessed with Sherlock) or at the gym working a sweat!
