Hey there! My name is Tahesin and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Texas at Dallas, pursuing a degree in Emerging Media and Communications!
Design and style aesthetic have always been a premiere pique of my interest; fashion being a huge concentration point of it. I’ve poured through the pages of every form of fashion print since I could read, but it will always be effortless urban street style which captures my heart. Having been born in the glamorous city of Dallas and raised by the most sophisticatedly stylish woman in the world, I realized at a young age just how much fashion could positively influence the course of one’s life through self expression. This is my first semester ever writing for CollegeFashionista and I am beyond stoked to be embarking on my fashion adventures with you!
As the saying goes, “everything is bigger in Texas,” and that couldn’t ring more true when it comes to the style aesthetic in Dallas! Although I’m a southern belle (at heart) and pursuing a degree in a technical field, I’ve never been one to dress neither completely feminine nor minimalistic. My inner wild child and South Asian roots clash with my minimalist eye, and influence all the little nuances of my wardrobe! Repeat after me: contrast is key! I live in classic neutrals. My heart beats for unique textures. And I love mixing clean silhouettes with bold prints, such as a modern boxy printed top. Throw in fantastic leather bag which pairs with everything you own, some timeless shades as you run out the door, and you’ve got a combination which can’t be beat.
Simple meets striking. Old school meets new school. Nothing makes me happier than mixing high and low fashions to create looks which reflects your own individuality! Well of course, other than a classic red lip!
