STYLE GURU BIO: Tara Stacy

Hey Fashionistas/os! My name is Tara Stacy, and this is my second semester here as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista! I am a sophomore journalism major at Ithaca College with a psychology minor. Spring semester has some of the coldest months we get in Ithaca, and I can’t wait to show you how IC students cope with the cold, but still dress to impress.

I have been obsessed with fashion since I was a little girl playing dress up, and then I fell in love with the beautiful spreads in magazines. I always hoped one day that I would be able to play in the Teen Vogue closet and dress models for a shoot.

I would describe my style as eclectic, simply because it varies from season to season. In the winter months and into the spring I tend to dress with minimalistic aesthetic in mind, and neutrals tend to be my go to.

But by far, the essential color in my wardrobe tends to be black. That’s why these jeans are a staple in my closet, no matter what season it is. Since it hasn’t been too chilly here in upstate New York yet (I’m amazed we don’t have snow!), I decided to ditch the winter coat and go with another essential in my wardrobe: a classic leather jacket. I paired it with a cozy, neutral cowl neck sweater and a pair of heeled suede booties. This cross-body bag is also an essential, because its neutral color goes with everything! One of my favorite aspects of the entire outfit has to be this floppy hat, because it keeps my hair in place on windy days like this one!

I’m so excited to show you how all the Fashionistas/os stay warm in these winter months, stay tuned!
