Hey everyone! My name is Taryn Cherubini and I’m a new Style Guru for Saint Joseph’s University. I’m super excited to be a part of an online fashion platform where young college students can express their love of fashion and the trends going around campuses around the country.
A little bit about me: I’m a rising junior and I’m going to be spending my next semester in London! I’m a cheerleader, the apparel coordinator for my sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma and a member of different clubs on campus like Her Campus and Dean’s Leadership Program. I’m from a small town in Central-North Jersey (yes, Central Jersey does exist) and before going to college I danced my entire life.
My style icon is Audrey Hepburn because of her classic and simple style. I try to dress on the classier side, but I would definitely describe my style as both trendy and unique. My wardrobe consists of a few basic pieces that can be put with several outfits, as well as some one of a kind pieces. My accessories are more of a boho style and I use them to mix up what I wear from day to day. My new style addiction of this year is over the knee boot in the fall/winter and I brought it into my summer style by wearing tie-up gladiator sandals.
I featured my new Free People sandals in my outfit. Since the sandals are neutral, I can dress them up or dress them down, which is what I did. I paired the sandals with a plain button-up jean skirt and added an earth-tone color with my olive green halter top. Accessory wise, I layered my necklaces by wearing a choker, a shorter triangle necklace and then a no-clasp gold necklace.
I’ve always had a love for fashion and I paired it with my love of art through design. Design is one of my favorite aspects of fashion which is why I took on the role of Insignia Chair in my sorority as well as working as a Campus Manager for the company University Tees.
I look forward to capturing some great outfits over the summer and writing about them! Be sure to check out my articles each month and stay up to date with the trends!
