Hi my name is Taryn and I have a passion for fashion. As far back as I can remember, fashion has been important to me. That is why I chose to study fashion merchandising and marketing at Olivet Nazarene University. As a little girl, I wore dresses and strut around with purses. What girly-girl does not like to play dress up? I feel that every day is a chance to play dress up; fashion gives me a chance to express who I am. My goal in life is to share the confidence and self-expression that fashion can provide.
Who am I? You might say that I am a girly-girl, but my style is more than just girly. I would describe my style as bohemian, preppy and classic, as well. I am drawn to bohemian colors and patterns. I love the intellectual vibes the preppy style gives. As for the classic style, it always gives me a beautiful silhouette.
I have a wide range of favorite styles; so naturally my favorite place to shop is Forever 21. Not only do they cater to all my favorite styles, but Forever 21 is also affordable on my college girl budget. The black skater skirt I am wearing in the photo was purchased at Forever 21. Other items I am wearing such as my flower top and necklace, however, are from Old Navy and Charming Charlie; even on a budget you can still look rad.
What complements a girl’s style more than her makeup? To complement my look I decided to add a pop of pink. The pink metallic eyeshadow elevates the look and adds color to this neutral outfit. Also, don’t forget to highlight your cheeks for a summer glow. My favorite highlight is from Maybelline New York’s Master Counter kit. Likewise, this makeup look is great for a college girl with a budget.
